The Northeast Regional Law Enforcement Educational Association, Inc. (NERLEEA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization officially established in 2004 to help to network youth programs associated with law enforcement together primarily in the northeast region of the United States. We do not draw boundary lines and welcome all law enforcement programs to visit or become members.
MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the NERLEEA to serve police cadets and other groups interested in law enforcement by providing the following:
Opportunity
...an opportunity to interact with cadets, officers, and civilian advisors from other programs who share common interests, in a positive and nurturing environment;
...an opportunity to gain intellectual and practical training in all areas of law enforcement and leadership;
...an opportunity to attend social gatherings and participate in community service projects;
Service
...to instill a mindset of courteous, yet safe, public service; and
Respect
...facilitate an environment which promotes self-respect and respect towards others.
Disclaimer We are in no way directly connected with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) or Learning for Life or their Law Enforcement Exploring program. We may work with certain BSA Councils and Learning for Life offices to promote programs however we are a separate entity. We do not encourage or discourage membership to the Boy Scouts of America or Learning for Life. Membership to them is a decision each individual program needs to make. |
